Structural Polyurethane Adhesive⁄Sealant

3M Marine Adhesive⁄Sealant 5200 is a one-part, high strength, polyurethane that chemically reacts with moisture to deliver strong, flexible bonds. It has excellent adhesion to wood, gelcoat and fiberglass. It forms a watertight, weather-resistant seal on joints and boat hardware, above and below the waterline. In addition, its flexibility allows for dissipation of stress caused by shock, vibration, swelling or shrinking. Suitable for fiberglass deck to fiberglass hull joints, wood to fiberglass, portholes and deck fittings, moldings and trim, hull seams above and below water line, between struts and planking, deck housing, etc. Easy to apply with manual caulking gun. Remains workable with trowel or spatula up to four hours after application. Won't sag or flow in vertical or horizontal seams. Best used when a permanent bond is required. Not recommended for sealing wood decks because it may be permanently softened by certain teak cleaners or sealers.
