Sika® Aktivator
Maximum Strength Cleaner and Adhesion Promotor for Sikaflex Products
Sika Aktivator is a solvent based surface cleaner, with adhesion promotors, to maximize adhesion of Sikaflex primers, sealants and adhesives. It is particularly effective for improving the adhesion of Sikaflex 296 on glass and ceramic frit coated windshield glass, as well as other Sika products used on other types of surfaces. Please refer to the Sika Primer Chart for specific application information for both products and substrates.

Required for use with Sikaflex-296 Mineral Glass Adhesive
When applying use “wipe on, wipe off, let sit 10 minutes” method to allow adhesion promotors to work
Use on stainless steel, aluminum, ABS, fiberglass lay-up, etc. to maximize adhesion of Sika Sealants and Adhesives
Required for cleaning prior to use of Sika Primer-210 or 206G+P
Will not aid with UHMW, polyethylene, polyproplyene, nylon, etc.
Discard any Sika Aktivator that has become opaque instead of clear
