Constant Wear Aviation Coverall : MAC100
The MAC100 is the second generation of Mustang's Aviation Coveralls, augmenting the MAC10, which has set the standard for anti-exposure flight coverall for nearly 20 years. For the first time, it is possible to provide a high level of anti-exposure protection without sacrificing comfort during prolonged missions. This one-piece flight suit provides protection against fire, radiant hear, cold weather, cold-water immersion and drowning. The MAC100 is a close-fitting, durable garment engineered for maximum mobility during aircraft operations.
Close-fitting, tailored garment with three layers of protection: a Nomex Outer Shell and a Nomex Inner Lining
-Provides protection from flash fire and flame resistance
AirSoft Foam Liner
-For flotation and hypothermia protection
-
Engineered to provide generous room in high movement areas for maximum wearer mobility and comfort
-
Outer shell is reinforced in high abrasion areas with rugged leather panels
-
Zippered ankle gussets assist in donning and offing
-
A range of pockets is provided to store personal items, notepads, pens and survival equipment, including a survival knife
-
Patented Tug-Tite closures at the wrist and ankles enhance the in-water hypothermia protective performance by minimizing cold water flushing
-
Durable, flame-resistant Nomex aramid, anti-static fabric provides external protection for the inherently buoyant, flame resistant, thermally protective, integral wetsuit
-
An inner layer of Nomex aramid fabric provides further flame resistant protection and comfort
-
Compatible with any lifejacket
-
Total Comfort System - consists of multiple apertures engineered into the foam liner and is combined with a moisture permeable membrane which allows excess body heat moisture to escape while providing a thermal barrier against the dangers of outside elements.
-
A fire resistant neoprene hood and inflatable mitts are included and stored in ankle pockets
-
The inherent buoyancy is well below the 35 lbs. maximum recommended for ditched helicopter egress, yet about the 15.5 lbs. minimum buoyancy required for PFD
