These bulbs are the perfect nav light replacements as they contain no filament to burn out or break when hitting waves, have gold plated corrosion-free bases, and are virtually maintenance free. Unique, patented internal circuitry and the highest quality components (yes, there is a difference) make Dr. LED's the longest lasting, most energy efficient LED products on the market. These high quality bulbs are the perfect way to reduce energy consumption on your boat. They have a long service life, are shock proof, and UV, lead, and mercury-free. They are especially well-suited for mast mounted lights, as their incredible reliability will mean an end to going up the mast to replace nav light bulbs. They even float if you drop them.Note: White LED bulbs should never be used behind colored lenses in nav lights, as they will not produce the required brightness. Only the corresponding colored LED should be used in nav lights with colored lenses.
